NextEdu, second edition of EdTech program kicks off at OGR Torino
Kicking off at OGR Torino is the second edition of NextEdu, the first international acceleration program dedicated to EdTech in Italy.

More than 60 applications from startups from all over the world, 8 companies selected: projects operating in the education sector, covering aspects such as E-learning, learning management systems (LMS), online education, Open Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies and other key spheres of EdTech. 

Of these 8 selected companies, 4 are Italian (2 from Milan, 1 from Turin, 1 from Palermo), while the other 4 are from Japan, Ukraine, Romania and Lithuania.

Here are the 8 selected companies and their mission:

Discentis (Italy) - innovative education startup dedicated to addressing the social problem of educational inequality. It provides comprehensive support to schools and educators, enabling them to create inclusive and effective learning environments that improve student outcomes and opportunities.

Feed Their Minds (Italy) - trains teachers and parents in order to identify and nurture talent in elementary and middle school children. The startup develops children's intelligence through divergent thinking and creates Edutech solutions to assess talent and soft skills. Their offerings include trainings aimed at teachers and parents, as well as educational games aimed at promoting divergent thinking and an assessment of a child's potential.

Babilon (Italy) - an innovative mobile application that revolutionizes language learning through narratives and interactive conversations with Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on communication rather than mere mechanical memorization. By placing words in real contexts, it ensures a deep understanding of vocabulary, grammar and cultural nuances.

Knolyx (Romania) - aims to unlock growth potential for both individuals and the entire team by reinforcing continuous learning through customized training paths. The platform creates tailored learning itineraries, enabling each team member to develop specific skills in a flexible manner, with an approach particularly suited to modern teams, often operating in remote or diverse environments.

Medvoice (Ukraine) - In a world where medical sciences are progressing at a very rapid pace, it becomes extremely complex for health care professionals, who are constantly under stress, to be able to keep up. Medvoice is an EdTech company that aims to improve the quality level of healthcare by providing up-to-date knowledge to healthcare professionals. 

Three Cubes (Lithuania) - develops a platform with an innovative vision in the field of sandbox games. Taking inspiration from the best aspects of Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite, their platform offers children educational adventures, social spaces and sandbox worlds.

ProjectMint (Japan) - is dedicated to improving the lives of mature and late-career adults through a 10-week online program. This program creates a community where individuals can find existential purpose, make connections and reinvent themselves. Professionals reaffirm themselves through empathetic peer listening while developing an adaptive mindset to deal with the uncertain times they are going through.

UniversApp (Italy) - uses artificial intelligence to prepare young people for the skills of the future. It does so through an online learning platform that offers tailored programming courses, enabling users to leverage AI to improve their productivity and efficiency. The system relies on using generative AI to create customized exercises and provide specific feedback. In addition, a virtual tutor helps students deal with any difficulties they may encounter in the learning journey.
