OGR Brand New Day: a 12-hour long event open to all, where art and technology get together. OGR’s happening will take place on Thursday 25th June, to celebrate the first birthday of OGR Tech, the hub for scientific, technological and industrial innovation, conceived and realised by Fondazione CRT to help the Italian tech ecosystem grow at international level.

On the 25th of June the digital section How exhibitions come to lifecreated for the launch of the OGR is digital project – goes live. Free story-telling guided tours by the Artistic Director Nicola Ricciardi and the curatorial team, to narrate OGR’s recent artistic aspect, starting from “Procession of reparationists” by William Kentridge, one of the world's leading exponents of contemporary art.


In the afternoon, at 16.00 and  18.00, at OGR’s Corte Est, in corso Castelfidardo 22, discover the behind-the-scenes of the 15 towering steel sculptures which, after months of intense work by the artist, were seaborne for from South Africa to reach  Turin one month later. OGR’s artistic side will be told starting from a truly current, significant and symbolic work on labour, the outcome of meticulous research carried out by William Kentridge, who drew inspiration from photographs of XIX and XX century industrial workers in northern Italy.
