The verse, taken from the poem “Under One Small Star”, by Wisława Szymborska, was the title of the exhibition by Ramin Haerizadeh, Rokni Haerizadeh and Hesam Rahmanian, hosted by OGR-Torino from 12th July to 30th September 2018. An exhibition aiming to provide an interpretation key to Ramin, Rokni and Hesam’s artistic approach by focusing on their working methods and on the process of realisation and communication of their works. In recent decades, the three artists have shared a philosophy of life that has led them to a common creation in which individual and collective working practice interact.

The book Forgive me, distant wars, for bringing flowers home recounts the story of the exhibition, showing pictures of the setting up and of the artists in action, its structure and graphics reflecting the eclectic style of the trio. Important insights are offered by previously unreleased contributions included in the book and by a long conversation with the three artists, who, behind the scenes, share their creative process and their own philosophy based on the inclusion of others. The curatorial text by Abaseh Mirvali and Constanza Medina explores the two themes of collaborative work and overcoming boundaries, while Media Farzin's analysis focuses on the role and interaction of creatures and assemblages.
