During the event, a unique multi-sensory experience will unfold as Stefano Giovanardi, an astronomer and science communicator, and Angelina Yershova, a Kazakh pianist and composer, bring together narration, live music, and visual elements powered by artificial intelligence. The performance, titled Templum Luminis, is a journey through the cosmos, where science and emotion converge to evoke the sense of wonder at the vastness of the universe.
The show takes inspiration from the grandeur of an astronomical observatory, symbolizing a space where science and art work together to explore the mysteries of the cosmos. Templum Luminis has been presented at the Auditorium of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, in connection with the “Macchine del Tempo” exhibition by INAF, receiving full attendance and enthusiastic feedback from the audience.
The performance will feature the evocative combination of piano, voice, Tibetan bells, and other acoustic and electronic instruments, all aimed at connecting listeners with the profound meaning and emotions that radiate from the distant stars.
ASTROCONCERT is a multimedia project created in 2008 by composer Angelina Yershova and astronomer Stefano Giovanardi, designed to explore new languages and formats for science communication through narrative performances, live music, and theatrical elements. The project is unique in its ability to merge art and science, offering the audience an immersive experience that brings the wonders of the universe closer through music and narration.
