On the occasion of the 57th CIMAM Annual Conference, the main international gathering dedicated to museums and professionals in modern and contemporary art, scheduled in Turin from 28 to 30 November 2025, OGR Torino presents to the public the restaging of two performances that form part of the official program of the conference: DON’T BE FRIGHTENED OF TURNING THE PAGE by Alessandro Sciarroni, Thursday 27 November 2025 at 7 PM, and the Trio Project by Abdullah Miniawy, Sunday 30 November 2025 at 7 PM.
DON’T BE FRIGHTENED OF TURNING THE PAGE is the concluding performance of the TURNING PROJECT (2014-2017), in which Alessandro Sciarroni explores the concept of turning starting from the migratory cycles of certain animals that return to their place of origin to reproduce and die. On stage, this idea takes shape in the action of a body that rotates continuously around its own axis, transforming repetition into a psychophysical and emotional journey. The performance borrows its title and subtitle from Derek Jarman’s book of colors and from an album by Bright Eyes, the artist’s favorite rock band. Each presentation involves different performers and artists (musicians, visual artists, designers) invited to reinterpret the same score according to their own sensibility. At OGR, DON’T BE FRIGHTENED OF TURNING THE PAGE will be performed by Marco Bertani.
