Eating is a daily event that contains within it a vital impulse of metamorphosis. The external world becomes internal, decomposing and recomposing itself: information transmigrates, forms, colours, smells, flavours, textures and substances become human, spirit, movement. Every act of eating is an encounter between culture, knowledge, interspecies collaboration and processes of alteration.

Ingesting and tasting at the same table thus becomes a way to expand this primary transformative experience. By adhering to convivial exchange, one does not seek nourishment alone, but takes part in a collective, meaningful gesture: commensalityCompost-, created by Luca Gerry Conte (Gerolamore) and Teresa Satta, activates together with the diners an exploration of alchemical gesture and ritual knowledge, intersecting the line of separation between waking and dreaming.

The tableful, which unfolds around the Social Table of Snodo and hosts the entire work, presents itself as a continuously evolving script in which the dinner takes place, divided into four acts. Each act evokes a theme, interwoven with stories, games, objects, numbers and symbols emerging from the artists’ research, declaring themselves on the table as true presences.

TERESA SATTA
Teresa Satta (1993, Varese) lives and works in Livorno. Her practice unfolds across different media, with a particular focus on low-tech production, offering installations, images or texts that invite relational movement. Through artistic research, Teresa seeks to acknowledge those forms of collective knowledge that arise in the territories of the body and identification, in order to support forms of survival and epistemic justice. She currently collaborates with the cultural association Carico Massimo (Livorno). She has collaborated as an artist with various cultural organisations, including: Spazio Torrso (Pesaro 2025), Terzo Paesaggio (Chiaravalle MI 2024), MACTE Museum (Termoli 2024), Le Fonticelle (Frosolone IS 2024), La Wayaka Current (Atacama, Chile and Guna Yala, Panama 2020 / 2022).

LUCA GERRY CONTE (GEROLAMORE)
Luca Gerry Conte approaches art as a participant in spatial and social ecosystems. Every element of his work, whether image, medium or structure, belongs to a broader ecology: a logos of nature embodied in space. His research aims to reveal the life of the work through play and time, while simultaneously channelling a multisensory experience that shapes an ecological awareness within a lived stage. Food is a central catalyst as both medium and object of research. For Luca, it is a site of material, social and poetic transformation. Through gastronomy, he activates everyday contexts and invites subtle forms of engagement that draw attention to the ordinary as extraordinary. Each encounter requires a small effort, a moment of friction with the audience, to open the way to storytelling and connection.
