On Monday, April 20 at 6.30 PM, a new appointment with OGR Talks will feature Fabrizio Modina, exploring the role of “Modern Mythology” in contemporary languages.

In his talk, Fabrizio Modina will guide the audience through the evolution of the pop imagination, from animation to comics, from video games to television and literature, showing how in recent decades a shared symbolic system has been built, capable of spanning different generations and activating deep forms of identification.

Building on these premises, the event examines the potential of Modern Mythology as a tool to reinterpret complex themes, anthropological, narrative and value-based, and to bring diverse audiences closer to culture, including forms that are more distant in time and space. Alongside the heroes of myth and tradition, the contemporary era produces new iconic figures from the worlds of music, fashion, sport and cinema, helping to redefine the collective imagination.

The event is part of the program accompanying the Italian preview of the exhibition Superheroes – The Origins of the Myth, scheduled from May 8 to September 27, 2026 at the Castello di Novara, co-curated by Modina. During the talk, he will lead the audience through a sort of open workshop, offering interpretative keys and tools to understand this cultural universe. Historian Emanuela Zilio will also join remotely from Berlin.
