OGR Torino, in collaboration with Talent Garden, presents the first edition of Green Tech Corner, a new series of events dedicated to those building technology with one additional constraint: impact. Three events a year in the OGR Tech Mezzanine exploring the latest frontiers of green and energy tech from a technical community perspective: architectures, data, costs, difficult decisions, policy and scalability, bringing startups, energy corporates, SMEs and applied research together around the same table.

Sustainability vs Innovation
The idea that innovation and sustainability are at odds is a myth that needs debunking. The energy transition is not a constraint holding tech back: it is the next major arena in which tech can prove its maturity. In an increasingly energy-hungry world, the answer is not “less innovation”, but better innovation: more efficient, more distributed, more measurable and more accessible.

This first Green Tech Corner event puts choices centre stage. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, physics has been telling us so for almost two centuries, but it is chosen: from the way it is generated and distributed to the key question: what can those who use it do, and what impact can they create?

Through a case study, a keynote and a multi-stakeholder roundtable, the event explores when, and how, sustainability becomes an engineering problem: impact metrics, markets, the ROI of flexibility, and real-world decisions across the energy supply chain. No greenwashing, no slogans: stacks, infrastructures and ecosystems.
