The inaugural conference of Mind Machines – AI Dialogues will launch a series of in-depth discussions on the global impact of artificial intelligence, exploring its economic, political, and geopolitical implications. Titled “The Geopolitics of AI: Strategy, Conflict, and the New World Order”, the event will center around the book Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence by Alessandro Aresu, which examines the strategic role of AI in international dynamics.
Moderated by Floriana Bulfon, the conference will feature speakers Alessandra Benedetti, an expert in AI governance, and Alessandro Aresu himself, philosopher and author of the book. The discussion will cover the escalating technological conflict between the United States and China, the race for resources crucial to AI development, and the challenges Europe and Italy face in this context. The debate will also reflect on how industry can interact with emerging technologies, exploring the future of production and human relationships in the AI era.
