OGR Torino presents a new OGR Talks event: Levi, Calvino, Fruttero & Lucentini. 2+2 writers before the Big Bang, with Domenico Scarpa, on Friday 8 May 2026 at 6.30 PM in the Area Storica com’era com’è.

Primo Levi designing the cover of one of his own books – three owls set against blue and light-blue backgrounds – using a Macintosh computer in the autumn of 1984.

Italo Calvino writing science fiction “in reverse,” narrating the infinitesimal instant of the Big Bang on the very day astrophysicists announce its experimental confirmation.

Fruttero & Lucentini, who instead write full-fledged science fiction – under a pseudonym – and introduce it to Italy under the F&L label for more than twenty years.

Two “twin” writers (Levi and Calvino) and two workshop partners (Fruttero & Lucentini) are the protagonists of Domenico Scarpa’s “object-based narrative.” (What is an object-based narrative? When the time comes, you will discover it, hands on.)
Four authors for an event dedicated to the cosmic and cybernetic literature of the pioneers who envisioned it in Italy.
