The new Mind Machines – AI Dialogues event, taking place on October 14 at the Speakers’ Corner of OGR Torino, will focus on the role of artificial intelligence in health and the environment. Titled AI for Health, the discussion will feature Marcel Salathé, Professor at the School of Computer and Communication Sciences and the School of Life Sciences at EPFL, Co-director of the EPFL AI Center, and Marco Aldinucci, Full Professor of High Performance Computing and Deputy Dean of Research at the Department of Computer Science, University of Torino, as well as Director of the HPC-KTT National Laboratory.

During the conference, the speakers will explore how AI, particularly deep neural networks, can uncover hidden patterns in health and environmental data, support medical diagnoses, forecast epidemics, optimize containment strategies, and reduce the impact of disease on people and crops. The discussion will be moderated by science writer Chiara Sabelli.
