Monir Ghassem takes the stage at Snodo on 26 January with Articolo 1, a monologue that gives voice to the difficult working conditions faced by newly graduated young people in Italy. With a sharp and ironic eye, Monir captures the transition into adulthood: from endless interviews to online applications, from terrifying contracts to the search for a place to live, all the way to trying to make your parents understand this complex new world of work.
All of this is seasoned with the great calmness and clarity typical of millennials, a generation confused and lost in this blender called life after 2020. Pure stand up, where the frustrations of an almost thirty-year-old precarious worker turn into cathartic laughter and incisive reflections on contemporary existential precarity.
OGR Comedy Sessions is the series curated by OGR Torino that showcases the best sets by comedians selected by Torino Comedy Lounge. Snodo, the food & drink area of OGR Torino, becomes a stage where anything can happen. Between irreverent jokes and signature cocktails, the audience enjoys a one-of-a-kind evening, an experience of pure entertainment filled with laughter, conviviality and experimentation. Without taking itself too seriously.
MONIR GHASSEM
A graduate in International Relations who, never finding the right job in the most literal sense of the word, turned to stand up. On stage she vents her existential dramas as a precarious worker grappling with life’s first major decisions. In 2025 she won the Forte dei Marmi Satire Award.
TORINO COMEDY LOUNGE
Founded in 2017, the project brought Italian stand up comedy back to life in the Piedmont area, reviving live comedy after too many years dominated by television-only formats. Today it is one of the most important comedy series in Italy, with hundreds of live shows and theatre and video productions. Three essential pillars define it: quality, comedians’ wellbeing, and the centrality of the audience. In addition to hosting big names such as Luca Ravenna and Michela Giraud, Torino Comedy Lounge is a breeding ground for new talent, supporting the next generation of comedians.
