Pietro Sparacino arrives on the Snodo stage on March 23 with Prove Aperte, a stand up comedy show where the audience becomes an active part of the creative process.
As the title suggests, it is a true live workshop: comedic material in progress that takes shape also thanks to the audience’s reaction. Through new jokes, sudden insights, and moments of pure experimentation, Sparacino tests on stage ideas and monologues destined to become part of his next show.
An informal and unpredictable evening, designed for a small audience ready to sacrifice themselves for the most righteous of causes: the birth of new jokes. A unique opportunity to see stand up comedy while it takes shape, in its most authentic moment.
PIETRO SPARACINO
Stand up comedian, writer, and actor with over twenty years of career. In 2009 he was among the founders of the Satiriasi collective and took part in the program Stand Up Comedy on Comedy Central. From 2015 to 2017 he worked as a correspondent for Le Iene, while in 2018 he was a writer for Scherzi a Parte. In 2019 he was Artistic Director of the Audible Comedy Live series at Monk in Rome.
In 2020 he created with The Comedy Club the format A-LIVE, among the first stand up comedy live shows on Zoom, and Comedy Village, the first vacation dedicated to stand up comedy in Italy, for which he serves as artistic director. A key MC of the new Italian comedy scene, since 2023 he has coordinated and hosted projects such as Open Mic Tour and Comedy Central Live. Over the course of his career he has brought ten stand up comedy monologues to the stage, including Diodegradabile, SUB ITA, Egoistagram, Occhiaie, and Il Ventennio.
TORINO COMEDY LOUNGE
Founded in 2017, the project brought Italian stand up comedy back to life in the Piedmont area, reviving live comedy after too many years dominated by television-only formats. Today it is one of the most important comedy series in Italy, with hundreds of live shows and theatre and video productions. Three essential pillars define it: quality, comedians’ wellbeing, and the centrality of the audience. In addition to hosting big names such as Luca Ravenna and Michela Giraud, Torino Comedy Lounge is a breeding ground for new talent, supporting the next generation of comedians.
