A veteran saxophonist of the New York jazz scene takes the stage at Snodo for OGR Jazz Night. We’re talking about Jerry Weldon, accompanied by Aldo Zunino on double bass, Elio Coppola on drums, and Sergio Di Gennaro on piano.
On Tuesday, April 15, starting at 9.30 PM, Weldon’s tenor saxophone sound will be the highlight of an evening that promises to captivate lovers of warm, refined, and soulful jazz.

OGR Jazz Night is a series created by OGR Torino in collaboration with Indiependence and artistic direction by Sergio Di Gennaro, presenting the best of contemporary jazz through live concerts and jam sessions. Snodo, the food & drink hub of OGR, becomes a cosmopolitan stage where jazz meets fine dining for a unique sensory experience. A journey through refined dishes and cocktails in an immersive atmosphere, for an unforgettable evening.

Jerry Weldon is one of the most authoritative figures in soul jazz, embodying the legacy of the greatest tenor saxophone legends in today’s American jazz scene. A deeply expressive soloist with a sophisticated swing full of energy, he possesses one of the biggest and warmest sounds around. He will perform alongside Aldo Zunino, Elio Coppola, and Sergio Di Gennaro, three musicians with extensive collaborations and concert activities across Europe and the US, having worked with the top soloists from both Europe and the United States.
