On June 5, at 9.30 PM, Lauren Henderson, one of the most promising voices in the international jazz scene, will take the stage at Snodo. Raised in New York with Caribbean roots, her music skillfully blends African American jazz with the passion of Latin music, creating a unique and captivating sound. Alongside her, on stage, will be pianist Sergio Di Gennaro, bassist Gianmaria Ferrario, and drummer Elio Coppola, who will take the audience on a musical journey filled with energy, technique, and musical sensitivity.
Lauren Henderson has performed on some of the most prestigious jazz stages in both the United States and Europe, and her experience in international tours has made her one of the most appreciated performers in the scene. Her repertoire includes both jazz standards and original compositions, showcasing her rare ability to blend various musical styles with ease.
OGR Jazz Night is a series created by OGR Torino in collaboration with Indiependence and the artistic direction of Sergio Di Gennaro, presenting the best of contemporary jazz through live concerts and jam sessions. Lauren Henderson is a jazz singer from Boston, musically raised in New York. Her ability to fuse African American jazz with Latin music influences is evident in both her selection of songs and her original compositions. She studied with legendary jazz names like Barry Harris, Jane Monheit, and Michael Kanan, and has performed at some of New York’s and Europe’s most prestigious jazz clubs. Her voice, with its hypnotic timbre and impeccable technique, has captured the international audience.
