Michael Rosen is the featured artist of the new OGR Jazz Night event. On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 9.30 PM, Snodo will host a lineup featuring Michael Rosen on saxophone, Giuseppe Venezia on double bass, Sergio Di Gennaro on piano, and Alessandro Minetto on drums.
A New York born saxophonist, composer, and songwriter, Michael Rosen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music. He has performed in more than thirty countries across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, as a bandleader, soloist, and guest alongside artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Mina, Sheila Jordan, and many others. For three consecutive years, he was voted among the world’s top ten soprano saxophonists by the readers of Jazzit. He has released ten albums as a leader and has appeared as a guest on approximately 150 jazz and pop recordings.
Joining him is Giuseppe Venezia, one of the most highly regarded double bassists on the Italian scene. Active internationally since the early 2000s, he has collaborated with musicians such as Greg Hutchinson, Emmet Cohen, Peter Bernstein, Enrico Rava, and Fabrizio Bosso, performing in iconic clubs including Birdland, Smalls, and Dizzy’s Club in New York. His latest album, I’ve Been Waiting for You (GleAM Records, 2024), received major recognition in the Top Jazz awards and leading industry Readers Polls. The lineup is completed by Sergio Di Gennaro on piano and Alessandro Minetto on drums.
OGR Jazz Night is the series created by OGR Torino in collaboration with Indiependence and under the artistic direction of Sergio Di Gennaro, showcasing the best of contemporary jazz through live concerts and jam sessions. Snodo, the food & drink heart of OGR, becomes a cosmopolitan stage where jazz meets fine dining for a unique sensory experience.
MICHAEL ROSEN
Born in New York, Michael Rosen is a saxophonist, composer, and educator with an international career that has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and clubs, from the London Jazz Festival to Ronnie Scott’s, from Umbria Jazz to Smalls in New York. He has recorded ten albums as a leader and collaborated on approximately 150 recordings. The author of original compositions and educational publications, he combines his concert activity with an extensive program of teaching and masterclasses in Europe and the United States.
GIUSEPPE VENEZIA
Giuseppe Venezia (1982) is a double bassist and electric bassist from Basilicata active on the national and international jazz scene. He has collaborated with numerous leading figures of American and European jazz, performing at major festivals, theaters, and jazz clubs, particularly in the United States and Europe. The leader of several recording projects, in 2024 he released I’ve Been Waiting for You, acclaimed by specialized critics. He is the artistic director of the Rosetta Jazz Club and is active in academic teaching.
