On October 14 at 9.30 PM, Denise King takes the stage at Snodo for an evening of jazz, rhythm & blues, soul, and gospel. The Philadelphia-born artist captivates with a refined, elegant style, blending diverse musical languages in the finest Afro-American tradition. Her electrifying energy and interpretive talent turn every performance into a one-of-a-kind experience, from heartfelt ballads to the most engaging swing. With her, Sergio Di Gennaro at the piano, Aldo Zunino at the bass and drummer Elio Coppola.
OGR Jazz Night is a series created by OGR Torino in collaboration with Indiependence and the artistic direction of Sergio Di Gennaro, presenting the best of contemporary jazz through live concerts and jam sessions. Snodo, the food & drink heart of OGR, transforms into a cosmopolitan stage where jazz meets fine dining, offering an unforgettable sensory experience.
DENISE KING
An internationally acclaimed jazz singer, Denise King was discovered by Dexter Wansel of Philadelphia International Records. She won over audiences with four successful albums and live shows at some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and New York. Over the course of her career, she has performed with musicians such as Bobby Durham, Archie Shepp, Mickey Roker, Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, Uri Caine, and McCoy Tyner, as well as with major stars including Ruth Brown, Koko Taylor, Billy Paul, and Céline Dion. Today she carries forward a special project dedicated to Sarah Vaughan, her greatest source of inspiration.
