For the opening night of Archivissima, OGR Torino presents OGR Listening Sessions x Archivissima, a special event curated by Recall that weaves together music, archives, and sonic memory. Created as a monthly format in 2024, OGR Listening Sessions offers listening experiences, primarily on vinyl, accompanied by Snodo’s mixology, transforming listening into a shared and immersive experience.

In dialogue with the Festival’s themes, this open-air listening session draws inspiration from Sean Dunne’s short film The Archive (2009), which tells the story behind the creation of “The Archive”, the world’s largest vinyl record collection, owned by Paul Mawhinney. Building on this imagery, Recall has crafted an original selection intertwining samples, archival tracks, special recordings, and limited-edition collector’s releases sourced from the personal archives of the artists involved.

A sonic reflection on musical and record-collecting memory, on the transformation of our relationship with physical media, and on the transition from record culture - object, design, ownership - to the dematerialisation of digital music: always accessible, yet never truly ours. An ephemeral archive that questions the present, suspended between what remains and what risks disappearing.
