From 31 October 2026, OGR Torino presents the Infinity Mirrored Room - The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe Illuminating the Quest for Truth by Yayoi Kusama, one of the most celebrated and influential artists on the international contemporary art scene, who passed away on 14 August 2026.
For over fifty years, Yayoi Kusama created immersive environments that envelop visitors and transport them into her distinctive visual universe. Through light, reflections and repetition, the installation transforms space into a perceptual experience suspended between wonder and disorientation: points of light and mirrored surfaces create the illusion of an infinite dimension, one that appears to expand endlessly.
The obsessive repetition of forms and patterns, a defining element of Kusama’s artistic practice, becomes a means of exploring the concept of self-obliteration - the dissolution of the boundaries between the individual and the surrounding environment - opening up an expanded perception of space and the universe.
Born in 1929 in Matsumoto, Japan, Yayoi Kusama has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning painting, sculpture, video, performance and installation. Among the first artists to experiment with immersive environments, her celebrated Infinity Mirror Rooms, conceived from the 1960s onwards, have contributed to redefining the boundaries between sculpture and installation, dissolving the distinction between artwork and viewer.
The artwork is presented as part of The Quantum Effect, an exhibition project exploring the connections between quantum theory, contemporary visual culture and new ways of perceiving and interpreting reality.

The experience inside Infinity Mirrored Room – The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe Illuminating the Quest for Truth is organised in timed entry slots, with a limited number of visitors admitted at each time.
For this reason, please read the visiting conditions carefully before purchasing your ticket and take care when selecting your date and time slot. Even visitors entitled to free admission must book their visiting time slot online.
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket. Due to the limited availability and the scheduled admission times, entry cannot be guaranteed to visitors arriving after the time indicated on their ticket. Failure to arrive on time may result in the ticket being forfeited.
- Admission is valid only on the date and at the time indicated on the ticket.
- Tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable.
- Open-ended tickets are not available.
- Online time-slot booking is required for everyone, including visitors entitled to a free ticket.
- A maximum of 6 tickets per transaction may be purchased.
- Admission to the installation is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 6 people admitted at a time, including visitors requiring assistance and children under 12, who must be accompanied by an adult.
- The maximum time inside the installation is 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Photography without flash is permitted. The installation is fragile and must not be touched. Visitors are asked to take care when photographing inside the installation. Selfie sticks are not permitted.
- Backpacks, bags and pushchairs are not permitted inside the installation and must be left in the designated area outside.
- Animals are not permitted inside.
Infinity Mirrored Room – The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe Illuminating the Quest for Truth is a mirrored room featuring coloured lights within an enclosed, dark environment. Visitors enter through a door which closes behind them.
Visitors who may feel uncomfortable in environments with flashing or shimmering lights, enclosed spaces or darkness are advised to consider carefully whether this experience is suitable for them.

Concessions: €5 — ARCI, FAI and TCI members; students up to 25 years old; visitors aged 65 and over
Free admission: Abbonamento Musei holders; ICOM members; children up to 6 years old

All tickets purchased online provide direct access to the exhibition.
The only exception is for visitors booking through Abbonamento Musei: these visitors must go to the ticket desk so that their card can be registered.
ACCESSIBILITY
Visitors with disabilities are entitled to free admission for one accompanying person, while the visitor’s own admission is charged at the applicable rate.
The exhibition is accessible to wheelchair users. Access to the installation has been designed to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility and includes a ramp; the entrance door is 120 cm wide.

GROUPS AND GUIDED TOURS
Infinity Mirrored Room – The Eternally Infinite Light of the Universe Illuminating the Quest for Truth admits visitors in groups of a maximum of 6 people at a time. Due to the specific visiting arrangements and limited capacity, guided tours are not available for the installation.
During the exhibition period, a member of the OGR team will be present in the exhibition spaces every Saturday and Sunday from 3.30 to 6.30 pm. Easily recognisable by an ASK ME badge, they will be available to answer questions and provide further information about Yayoi Kusama’s installation and the exhibition The Quantum Effect.
