At OGR Torino, four events for the exhibition The Soul Trembles by Chiharu Shiota at MAO MAO Museo d’Arte Orientale in Turin







OGR Torino opens its doors to Evolving Soundscapes, the public program of the exhibition The Soul Trembles by Chiharu Shiota, the first Italian solo show dedicated to the Japanese artist, on view at MAO MAO Museo d’Arte Orientale in Turin. from October 22, 2025 to June 28, 2026.


The events, scheduled for February 8 and March 15, 2026, will feature leading Japanese artists, with two performances creating a dialogue between the themes of The Soul Trembles and those of Electric Dreams. Art & Technology Before the Internet, an exhibition organized by Tate and OGR Torino. Admission to both events is included with a ticket to the exhibitions at OGR Torino.


On Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 6 PM, the experimental artist Asuna will present 100 Keyboards. This site-specific performance brings together more than one hundred toy keyboards playing simultaneously, producing a rippling sonic harmony that is both hypnotic and mysterious. The work has been presented at major international festivals and art centers, including BAM in New York. Following Asuna, there will be a performance by sculptor and sound artist Rie Nakajima.


On March 15 at 6 PM, Keiji Haino and Masayoshi Fujita will take the stage. Haino, a multi-instrumentalist with over fifty years of career and a central figure in Japanese noise rock and psychedelic rock, will perform with the polygonola, a flat polygonal metal instrument built from Naoki Skura’s theory of two-dimensional vibration. The concert will be followed by a live performance from vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita, a composer whose work draws on both jazz and electronic influences.


Entrance to the performances is reserved for holders of an exhibition ticket valid on the day of the event.
