NODES - Nord-Ovest Digitale E Sostenibile is the innovation ecosystem, funded by the MUR (PNRR, D.D. n.1054 of June 23, 2022), of Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and the westernmost provinces of Lombardy (Como, Varese and Pavia) composed of representatives of the different local innovation players, expressions of production and research excellence in the territory including universities, innovation poles, research centers, competence centers, incubators and accelerators.

In order to support the sustainable and inclusive growth of territories through the dual digital and ecological transition, NODES is organized into 7 spokes, each characterized by a specific focus:

MISSION
The mission of NODES is to contribute to the resolution of structural deficiencies, a key theme of the NRP, through the implementation of tools and activities with a new collaborative approach to respond to strategic innovation challenges and generate positive impacts toward digital and ecological transition. NODES also responds to the specific objectives of the NRP related to Digital, Industry, Aerospace, strengthening the conditions for the development of a knowledge-intensive, competitive and resilient economy.

OBJECTIVES
Over 3 years, NODES aims to support and create scientific and industrial research supply chains in the 7 spoke fields, expressing vocations within the ecosystem. The ambition is to enhance existing ideas, skills and realities, create new ones and stimulate technology transfer, entrepreneurial culture and the development of spin-offs, start-ups and SMEs. This is to respond to the need to prepare the territory for the next revolution related to the challenges of digital and ecological transition.
The total budget available to NODES is 112.85 million euros.

NODES ECOSYSTEM ACTIVITIES
NODES deploys a shared methodology- called the Booster methodology-which presents the main actions of the ecosystem in 5 macro-activities: engagement and networking, research, skills development, innovation, and acceleration. Booster activities aim to generate opportunities for the ecosystem by enhancing research results, facilitating technology transfer, and accelerating digital transformation for economic and environmental sustainability.

OGR Torino are partners in Spoke 2 - Green Technologies and sustainable industries, which works on green technologies and industries with the development of promoting sustainable development. Specifically, OGRs will carry out activities to:

Ecosystem engagement and development booster
Strengthening the ecosystem, organizing communication initiatives and events, promotion and dissemination of project activities and funding opportunities.

Competence booster
Support the development of knowledge, skills, abilities and entrepreneurial culture through training in key innovation and hi-tech sectors.

Acceleration booster
Promotes and supports the growth of emerging technology start-ups.
