Accessibility is one of the main missions pursued by OGR Torino.

All the staff working at OGR have been trained by attending the “Operatori Culturali per l’inclusione” course: a project born in 2011 from the collaboration between Fondazione Paideia and Fondazione CRT, which offers training activities addressed to museum service operators, in order to promote a culture that welcomes and includes visitors with disabilities, from a relational and communicative standpoint as well as from a structural one.
OGR have applied this approach to various initiatives, online and on-site, for example by creating content related to their exhibitions with LIS (Italian Sign Language) interpretation in collaboration with the non-profit Istituto Sordi di Torino.

Various projects have been carried out at OGR with special attention for accessibility.

Among these is We Want PROMETHEUS Free, born from the collaboration between Fondazione CRT and OGR. The multisensory performance was held during the “Vogliamo tutto” exhibition, at OGR in 2021, and represented an experimental project along a journey meant to make culture accessible – in the words of Massimo Lapucci, CEO of OGR Torino and Secretary General of Fondazione CRT – “not in spite of one’s disabilities, but for everyone according to their own abilities”.

Another example is OGR Kids & ULAOP, a calendar of educational activities open to all and dedicated to families with children aged 3 to 12, co-designed with Fondazione ULAOP-CRT.
As always in OGR Torino’s initiatives, a crucial element in every effort for accessibility is the collaboration with various local organizations, such as Fondazione Paideia, Tactile Vision, Istituto dei Sordi di Torino, Ente Nazionale Sordi and Strana Idea.
